Newsworthy
You may have heard a story on the news or, unfortunately, experienced it yourself: being followed in a retail store, ignored at your restaurant table, or treated with a dismissive attitude for unclear reasons. A groundbreaking new study co-authored by Kris Lindsey-Hall, associate professor in the LSU Department of Marketing, explores this uncomfortable phenomenon, giving it a name and framework: Profiling as a Service Failure.
Like many of the online programs available at LSU, the online Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a concentration in Digital Marketing benefits from faculty who bring both research expertise and real-world applications into the classroom. One such faculty member is Dr. Jianan Wu, an instructor in the Department of Marketing at the E. J. Ourso College of Business.
LSU is leading two teams and contributing to two others that are finalists in the Gulf Futures Challenge, a national competition by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Gulf Research Program and Lever for Change, a nonprofit affiliate of the MacArthur Foundation. One of the finalist teams, the Iberia Parish Clean Energy Hub, is led by Professor Andrew Schwarz of the Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems.
