Wesley Ladd joined the faculty in 2026. He received his MBA with an Internal Audit
Specialization from Louisiana State University and his BA in Philosophy from Southern
Illinois University, where his study of phenomenology shaped his approach to identifying
organizational blind spots and systemic risk. His research interests include cybersecurity
risk management, computer vision, and metrology.
Wes is Chief Technology Officer of Polaris EcoSystems, a technology firm specializing
in software development, GIS, and metrology for tribal organizations and renewable
energy projects, and founder of Train GRC, a cybersecurity training platform for GRC
professionals. Prior to his academic career, he worked in cybersecurity consulting
at EY and RSM US LLP, serving clients ranging from Fortune 100 banks and energy companies
to large governmental organizations and seed-stage startups on governance, risk, and
compliance needs. He holds CISA and CISSP certifications and is an alumnus of the
LSU Center for Internal Auditing & Cybersecurity Risk Management.
