Chemistry Undergraduate Studies

Pursue a path that can take you wherever you want to go. Discover LSU Chemistry.

Chemistry is often called the central science because of its essential role in all biological and physical sciences, engineering, agriculture, and medicine. One of the most valuable facets of our undergraduate chemistry program is the focus on student research. As early as their first year, undergraduate chemistry students may participate in ongoing research projects conducted by faculty. Each of our chemistry concentrations offers a comprehensive preparation for jobs in industry, government, teaching, and post-graduate studies in all areas of chemistry, including professional programs in law and medicine.
