LTC Joshua Trulock
Joshua Trulock assumed duties as the Professor of Military Science at Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge on June 16, 2023. As the Professor of Military Science, LTC Trulock leads LSU’s mission to select, educate, train, and commission college students to be officers and leaders of character in the Total Army. LTC Trulock is a native of Clearwater, Florida, and he received a his Army commission in November 2006 through the Officer Candidate School at Fort Moore, GA. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. He also holds two master's degrees: the first in Business and Organizational Leadership from Webster University and the second in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Navy War College. His military education includes the Military Police Officer Basic Course, Military Police Captain’s Career Course, and the U.S. Navy War College.
SFC Austin Pounds
Sergeant First Class Pounds is a native of Galveston, Texas. He began his career by enlisting for Active Duty in January of 2012 and attending Infantry One-Site Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. SFC Pounds is currently working on a Bachelor’s of Science in International Relations. His military education includes Infantry One-Site Unit Training, Airborne School, Basic, Advanced, and Senior Leader Course, Special Forces Foreign Weapons School, Combat Advisor Training Course, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Non-Commissioned Officer Battle Staff, and Jumpmaster School.
CPT Will Bloom
CPT Will Bloom is a native of Union, KY. He received his commission in May 2017, as Infantry Officer. CPT Bloom holds a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Human Resource Management from Xavier University. CPT Bloom is a graduate of Infantry Basic Officer Leaders Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Army Reconnaissance Course, and Master Fitness Trainer Course. CPT Bloom has served in various leadership and staff positions throughout his 11-year career.
CPT Cole Hearne
Coleman D. Hearne assumed duties as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge on June 2, 2024. As the Assistant Professor of Military Science, CPT Hearne assists the PMS in training and commissioning quality officers, while also acting as the liaison to the Louisiana National Guard. CPT Hearne is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana and enlisted into the Louisiana Army National Guard on January 29, 2009. He served as a Military Policeman in the 39th Military Police Company as an enlisted Soldier until 2015. CPT Hearne attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he studied Criminal Justice. He graduated in December 2015 with his Bachelor of Arts degree and commissioned as a Military Police Officer.
SFC Matthew Strong
Sergeant First Class Matthew D. Strong is native of Salisbury, NC. He enlisted as an Infantryman on June 22, 2005. SFC Strong has served in various positions ranging from Military Science Instructor, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Senior Instructor/ Writer, Weapon Squad leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Fire Team Leader, and Rifleman. SFC Strong’s military education includes the Basic Leader Course, The Advanced Leader Course, the Maneuver Senior Leaders course, Sensitive Site Exploitation Course, Advanced Situational Awareness Basic course, Master Resiliency Trainer course, Air Assault school, the Cadre Training course, Combat Life Saver course, Drill Sergeant School, Combatives Level 1 & 2 and the Common Faculty Development- Instructor Course.
SSG Richard Rooks
Staff Sergeant Richard L. Rooks Jr. is a native of Killeen, TX. He enlisted as a Human Resources Specialist in the US Army on November 14, 2017 and attended Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, SC. He holds a BS in Psychology from Prairie View A & M University, Prairie View TX. SSG Rooks military education includes the Basic Leader Course, the Advanced Leader Course, Fuel Handler Course, Joint Capabilities Resilience Course, Command Post of the Future Course, Combat Life Saver Course.
