Leadership Team
The Advanced Microscopy and Analytical Core (AMAC) is managed by the LSU Office of Research & Economic Development (ORED). The AMAC Director, Dr. Dongmei Cao, is responsible for AMAC daily operations.
The AMAC Executive Committee (SEC) is composed of Dr. Robert Twilley, Vice President of Research & Economic Development; Dr. Vicki Colvin, Dean of the College of Engineering; and Dr. Robb Brumfield, Interim Dean of the College of Science. This committee, in cooperation with ORED staff, is responsible for overall oversight of AMAC operations and financing.
The AMAC Advisory Council (SAC) is composed of six faculty members—two members each from the College of Science, College of Engineering, and the School of Veterinary Medicine. These members serve on a rotating two- and three-year basis and provide scientific oversight and faculty feedback regarding all AMAC operations.
