Biography

Hae Yeon Seo, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Fellow (Health Communication) in the Manship School of Mass Communication and an affiliate of the Reilly Center for Media and Public Affairs at Louisiana State University (LSU). Seo’s research focuses on health communication and public health, particularly the effects of cannabis advertising and weight-loss medication promotion on young adults’ health behaviors. Her work also emphasizes media/health literacy to resist persuasive messages, aiming to empower young populations to make informed health decisions. Seo earned a doctorate degree in Communication with a minor degree in Statistics at Washington State University (WSU).
