The LSU Tiger Glee Club has earned a coveted invitation to perform at the 11th National Collegiate Choral Organization (NCCO) Conference, taking place November 6–8, 2025, at California State University, Fullerton. The ensemble is one of just thirteen collegiate choirs nationwide chosen for this honor.

Selected from a large pool of applications, the Glee Club was recognized through a rigorous peer-review process led by distinguished collegiate choral conductors from across the country. The invitation, extended by the NCCO executive board, affirms the ensemble’s artistry, dedication, and growing national profile.

Under the direction of Barineau Associate Professor and Associate Director of Choral Studies, Dr. Trey Davis, the Glee Club will present a program titled Holler, River, Mountain, featuring works by Béla Bartók, Veljo Tormis, and Jennifer Higdon. The program will also include the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by Diana Syrse, one of today’s most dynamic and sought-after composers.

Before traveling to California, the Glee Club will offer preview performances in Baton Rouge and California, sharing their program with local audiences and alumni.

“This is an extraordinary honor,” said Dr. Davis. “To be chosen from such a large and talented field speaks volumes about our singers’ commitment, musicianship, along with the joy and passion they bring to their music.”

Held every two years, the NCCO conference is a hallmark event in the choral world, showcasing outstanding collegiate ensembles and providing an inspiring forum for conductors, educators, and students. This year’s conference lineup reflects the artistry and creative spirit of today’s collegiate choral scene — and the LSU School of Music is proud to be among its shining voices.
