CTP Faculty

Bienvenue! Welcome to Louisiana and the Curriculum Theory Project (CTP) at LSU.

Rooted in the rich cultural traditions of the Gulf South — where improvisation, creolization, and complexity are part of daily life — CTP invites graduate students into a vibrant community of scholars exploring education’s deeper meanings and possibilities.

Founded in 1995 by William F. Pinar and William E. Doll, Jr., CTP approaches curriculum as a dynamic, interdisciplinary field—one that asks how subject matter, identity, and society shape each other. We study curriculum as lived experience, engage in “complicated conversations,” and imagine new futures for education, both locally and globally.

Through visiting scholars, conferences, and collaborative research, graduate students have opportunities to shape public dialogue and academic thought. Join us in exploring curriculum theory as an evolving, provocative, and transformative field of study.
