I was that student that didn’t know what they wanted to do when they came to college, even after I graduated. I found through my first professional job that I really enjoyed business operations and the challenges it brings. I was a one-woman team at my previous job and was looking for more structure and more mentorship in operations to further my career which is why I came to LSU. I’ve gained so much more through managing our student employees which is what keeps me in higher education. I’ve been able to watch our students grow from their freshman year to graduation and go on to do amazing things.

An artist at heart

I am the daughter of artists so I have had the privilege of being exposed to a lot of different mediums of art. I currently really like weaving and own a fairly large loom but I have also made stained glass windows, thrown pottery, sculpted, painted a mural, and helped construct a Mardi Gras float.

My favorite campus spot

I have always loved the sculpture garden. I like that there are the constants – the sculptures that remain unchanged over the years – but then there are always new ones coming in.

A perfect day would be

My husband and I driving down River Road. We like to get out at different pull-offs and go up on the levee and just relax.
