LSU has profoundly shaped my life, and I'm truly grateful for the chance to give back and help others, especially fellow first-generation college students. I earned my master’s degree while working for the LSU Foundation, thanks to the invaluable support of the tuition reimbursement program. I truly wouldn't be where I am without the support from the LSU community every step of the way!

During my undergraduate years, I visited the Career Center several times. Initially, I sought guidance on choosing a major, having been advised by my high school counselor to pursue accounting due to my aptitude in math. However, I soon discovered that accounting wasn't the right fit for me, and a career coach helped me find my home in mass communication. Later, as I approached my junior and senior years, I returned to the Career Center for help with my resume, which proved to be a pivotal moment in my career journey.

As a recruiter, I've reviewed numerous resumes and conducted many interviews. I'm hoping to bring my experience to the employer development side of things to ensure that our students have plenty of unique career opportunities available after graduation.

My favorite spot on campus 

Mike's habitat! My first job on campus was with the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. It's incredible to be able to see a live tiger on campus, and I love that current vet students are responsible for his care.

Forever LSU

My favorite line of the alma mater is "Where stately oaks and broad magnolias shade inspiring halls" because our campus is so beautiful. As an undergrad, I sat in the quad between classes, and it's still one of my favorite things to do when the weather is nice.

You may not have guessed...

I absolutely love experiencing nature! Everything from bird watching to hunting and fishing.
